Claire Howard, MS
Claire Howard is an ecologist by profession, an online organizer by chance, and a staunch advocate for individual, community, and ecological health. Claire holds a BS in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation Biology from the University of Maine, where she was also the chair of the Student Women's Association, and she holds a MS in Earth Systems Science and Environmental Advocacy from Antioch University. Claire developed and honed her graphic, web, and online strategy skills through her 4 years of work with the League of Young Voters and the Tunnelbuilder Institute, where she developed the Maine chapter's online organizing program. Claire has also developed web content and organizing strategies for the Vermont Public Interest Research Group (VPIRG) and the ReVision Urban Agriculture Project. Claire runs her own ecosystem restoration business, Regenerative Systems Design, LLC, and is currently working with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife on the Oregon Plan for Salmon and Watersheds, a conservation and restoration initiative. Claire is an avid surfer, snowboarder, traveller, and wilderness advocate who practices qigong, yoga and vipassana meditation. She currently resides in Newport, Oregon with her dog, Moxie.
