Karen Howard has more than 25 years of experience in Washington DC having worked on a Congressional Committee, served as a health care lobbyist and provided consulting services to virtually every managed care organization in the country.  For the past 9 years Karen has served as the Executive Director for both the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the Association of Accredited Naturopathic Medical Colleges, working to build awareness of naturopathic medicine for state and federal policy makers as well as consumers across the country.  She also holds several leadership roles in like-minded organizations including the Coalition for Patient Rights and is the Secretary of the Board for the National Foundation of Women Legislators.
