Dr. Michael Cronin has been practicing Naturopathic medicine in Arizona since 1982. He is committed to helping to improve people’s health and quality of life by evolving the practice of naturopathic medicine and advancing the availability and licensing of Naturopathic physicians.
Dr. Cronin is the President-elect of the American Association of Naturopathic Medicine, Trustee of the Integrative Healthcare Policy Consortium, Chair of the Naturopathic Physicians Research Institute, Board member of the Arizona Association of Naturopathic Medicine and it’s legislative co-chair. Dr Cronin is on the Board of Trustees of National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL.
He is founder of Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and its president from 1992 to 1997. Dr. Cronin is a founding board member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the Naturopathic Academy of Therapeutic Injections.
American WholeHealth
Dr. Cronin worked as the Director of Integrative Medicine for American WholeHealth which established 15 integrative clinics in Chicago, Boston, Bethesda MD and Denver. Dr. Cronin was directly involved with training MD’s and DO’s, ND’s, DC’s, LAC’s, psychologists and LMT’s, in an integrative approach to patient care and implementing the concept of the healing path, an individualized treatment plan for patients that is a core concept of American WholeHealth’s integrative approach to medicine.
Dr. Cronin was also the Senior Medical Director for American WholeHealth Networks, an insurance company providing coverage for chiropractic, naturopathic, acupuncture, massage and other alternative healthcare providers. His team developed credentialing criteria for over 20 alternative medicine practitioners and designed treatment criteria and utilization management algorithms for insurance benefits covering naturopathic physicians, acupuncturists and massage therapists.
Dr Cronin practices with his wife, Dr Kyle Cronin, at Naturopathic Physicians Group in Scottsdale, Arizona that includes family practice and environmental medicine but emphasizes naturopathic physical medicine. He treats chronic pain with prolotherapy, regenerative injection therapy using Platelet Rich Plasma, manipulation and spinal decompression integrated into a naturopathic treatment program. Dr Cronin utilizes diagnostic ultrasound in his musculoskeletal assessment and for ultrasound guided injections. He is a diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Management. Dr. Michael J. Cronin is a graduate of National College of Naturopathic Medicine class of 1980. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine integrated with Family Practice at Portland Naturopathic Clinic at NCNM.
Dr. Cronin is co-author of “Herbal Solutions for Healthy Living,” Herbal Research Publications, Brevard, NC 2001 and a contributor to “Naturopathic Physical Medicine” by Churchill Livingston Publishing.
