IHPC Tells Congress to Stop the FDA from Restricting Women's Access to Estriol, and stresses the Importance of Consumer Education!

In late May IHPC sent a letter to Congress supporting House Concurrent Resolution 342 to stop the FDA from restricting women's access to bio-identical estriol by compounding pharmacies. We found this action by the FDA to be an unjustifiable restriction of a woman's right to choose from among treatment options sharing similar risks and therapeutic benefits, and an unwarranted attack on compounding pharmacists who should be allowed to practice to the extent of their licensed scope of practice. IHPC stressed the importance of trusting consumer intelligence and providing information not false protection. Click here for PDF.
